Cedars and The Chestnut Tree

The Cedars Open Studio Tour was a lot of fun! My boyfriend and I managed to make it to most  of the stops during the day before we had to pack up his drums and set up for his new band’s performance at the after party. The weather was perfect, as was the evening. We were able to set up and hang out until performance time.

We also went to The Chestnut Tree in Denton, Texas to visit my painting, Somber Thoughts. It will be only display there until January.

The Chestnut Tree is a cute restaurant with friendly staff, great food and a very intimate atmosphere.

We enjoyed lunch: a caprese and chicken salad sandwich. I was delighted to learn they sold Dude, Sweet Chocolates and nabbed a couple of those at the end of our meal.

I think the pale green walls suit her quite nicely!
